The National Junior Honor Society students from Murray Middle School braved a cold and snowy day last month for their annual environmental spring volunteer field trip. They helped to collect over 500 pounds of debris from former farm land that is being converted to a nature preserve. Items included many glass jars, fences, old plumbing, tires, cinder blocks, toys, furniture, metal, building materials, etc. The students did a wonderful job!
