St. Paul

Political platform statement

Why I am running for this office: It’s time for a change at City Hall. It’s time we place Saint Paul back onto a higher track again. ‘In Our First 90 Days’ we will discuss, what is working and what is not working in this city, and how we will fix what is not working. In part they will include: - A ‘City’ website allowing ‘Citizen interaction and voting’ on topics at hand. Including proposed budgets. - Ensuring - Safety & Security for - All neighborhoods. (Most Citizens want Law Enforcement upheld.) - Creating an online ‘city-wide’ crime-map. (Daily Updates. Color-coded dots show location & type of crime.) - Retrofitting LRT platforms with fence & gates ala Chicago, Washington DC. (Honor-system ends, Pay-as-You-Enter system begins. Curbs crime & millions in annual losses.) - Restoring safety on Metro Transit buses. (Daily passengers & Drivers are mistreated.) - Fully funding ‘Basic-City-Services’. - More equitable City-Trash-Collection fees & a new ‘Opt-Out-to-Share’ program. - Ending ‘Individual Assessments’ for Public Works projects. Capping Property Tax & Fee increases at inflation rates! - Referendums: move City-elections to ‘even-numbered’ years to double or triple Voter turnout! (Currently, up to 85% of us don’t Vote!), repeal Ranked-Choice Voting. - Installing a privately-funded 'Railroad and Riverboat Museum of Minnesota' in our Union Depot to stem its millions in annual losses. - Through donations raised, installing 75' tall flags of all nations along the length of University Avenue. Transforming it into a beautiful and famous 'Avenue of Flags'. - Restoring our July 4th Fireworks & Taste of Minnesota back on the Capital Mall!
