Common Cause mobilizes to help Minnesota voters cast their ballots

Nonpartisan Election Protection program gives voters trusted information and support during the voting process

Posted

Common Cause is launching its 2026 Election Protection program in Minnesota to help voters across the state cast their ballots and make their voices heard. Voters who have questions or who have problems at any point in the voting process can call or text the nonpartisan 866-OUR-VOTE hotline to get direct, real-time help from election experts.

In the weeks leading up to Election Day, Common Cause will deploy trained nonpartisan volunteers to support voters on the ground during the voting period; conduct voter outreach; monitor polling places; and work with election officials to identify and resolve problems. The program is part of the country’s largest nonpartisan voter protection effort, which Common Cause has co-led nationwide for over 20 years.

“Every eligible Minnesota voter deserves to have the information and support they need to vote free from intimidation, or barriers, and Common Cause is here to make sure of it,” said Annastacia Belladonna-Carrera, Common Cause’s Minnesota State Director. “Our friendly, nonpartisan experts are here to help voters navigate the process, answer questions, and solve problems if they arise. Voters should save 866-OUR-VOTE in their phones now and know that if they need help voting this election, Common Cause and the Election Protection coalition has their back.”
