Ward 4 forum set for July 14 with focus on historic preservation

The St. Paul Historic Preservation Political Committee is hosting a special Ward 4 City Council Candidate Forum on Monday, July 14,  2025, where the focus will be on one of our city's most valuable assets: its historic heritage.

"This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their positions onhistoric preservation and keeping St. Paul's rich architectural landscape from being further decimated by unnecessary demolitions and ill-advised policy decisions at City Hall," said organizers.

The forum will be held at Hamline Church UM, 1514 Englewood Avenue (one block east of Snelling Ave.). Doors open at 6 p.m.; program concludes at 8 p.m.

The mission of the SP Historic Preservation Political Committee is to:

• Educate voters about the importance of preservation;
• Advocate for strong preservation policies; and
• Evaluate and endorse candidates who are committed to protecting the historic character of St. Paul.
