Disney's Newsies coming to stage at Central High School

Posted

Saint Paul Central High School is proud to present Disney's Newsies. This fall, 135 students have been hard at work - preparing every aspect of this production. The pit orchestra is made up entirely of students, and led by senior Lula Eian. E"very technical aspect is covered by the students, under the mentorship of an incredible creative team: sets are built, costumes created, lights set, sound run and more. And, the message shared by the cast through precise and enthusiastic dancing and singing is one that we need to hear now more than ever: we are stronger together than apart (“Once and For All”), and we need to stand up for those who can’t and courage is when we face our fear (“Seize the Day”)," say organizers.

"We celebrate the incredible talent of all of these students, and their commitment to each other and their community. In a time when there is so much that feels overwhelming and frightening, they remind us of the power of coming together - through the story they tell, and the very act of telling the story. "
