Lyngblomsten, a Minnesota nonprofit senior services organization, announces the start of construction on a new, mixed-use building for adults 55+ at its campus in Lino Lakes, Minn.
A ceremonial groundbreaking was held on Oct. 19 and was attended by the Lyngblomsten Board of Directors, construction partners, and key project staff.
The new building is part of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes, a senior living community which opened in 2023 at the corner of Hodgson Road and County Road J and offers a continuum of care to older adults, including independent living (rental townhomes and apartments), assisted living and memory care on the 20-acre campus. The mixed-use building will include 59 independent living lofts for adults aged 55+ as well as additional amenities for campus residents, including a sauna, library, fitness center and indoor pickleball court. Retail space on the main floor includes options for multiple businesses, including space for a sit-down restaurant.
“We’re thrilled to be adding this new building to our campus and further investing in Lino Lakes,” said Jeff Heinecke, President and CEO of Lyngblomsten. “This expansion will add space for new residents and an excellent array of amenities for them to enjoy, along with retail options which will benefit the wider Lino Lakes community.”
The project team includes Grand Real Estate Advisors, Wold Architects and Engineers, Weis Builders, and Keegan Mulry House. With assistance from Northland Securities and the City of Lino Lakes, financing is being provided by the National Bank of Commerce.
The mixed-use building is expected to open in early 2028. Those interested in learning more about reserving an apartment may contact Angie Quick, Assistant Executive Director of Lyngblomsten at Lino Lakes, at (651) 515-1727 or aquick@lyngblomsten.org.
